HD Brows is a bespoke eyebrow treatment that is totally tailored to you – not a brow stencil in sight. It’s so much more than a standard eyebrow tint and wax; our expertly trained stylists combine our uniqu

e design formula with cu

stom-blended colour, hair removal and make up application for brows that suit you. Our stylists work with you to create your perfect look, whether your wish

to tame bushy brows or regrow overplucked eyebrows.

What is an HD Brows treatment?

We differ to many other eyebrow treatments as we don’t believe in a one-shape-fits-all ethos. Brows are as individual as fingerprints and so each step of the HD Brows treatment is completely bespoke from the personal consultation, shape design, tailoring and aftercare process. There’s also the option of an HD Brows Express treatment so, if you’re short on time or just need a tidy up in between regular appointments, you can keep those bespoke brows fresh.

How long do HD Brows last?

The effects of the treatment usually last around 4-6 weeks, however this can vary depending on your hair growth. After your first few treatments your stylist will be able to recommend how often you should be having the treatment done.

How much are HD Brows?

Prices start at £25 and vary depending on the salon you visit and the skill level of your stylist. Contact your local HD Brows stylist directly to discover what price they charge.

How long does HD Brows take?

The HD Brows treatment usually takes around 45 minutes, but we would suggest allowing an hour for the treatment. In a rush? Book for an express treatment which takes just 15 minutes.

Quick Brows groom ( wax/ thread ) and tint. Excluding measurements and shape enhancement or make up application.

Great treatment to keep book after your HD or Brow Sculpt appointment, to maintain the shape you and your therapist created.

Usually takes 15-20 minutes.

HD Brows BrowSculpt

BrowSculpt is brow lamination with a bespoke HD Brows twist. Whether you dream of achieving that full, fluffy eyebrow look, want to create symmetry in uneven brows or tame unruly hairs, our BrowSculpt brow lamination treatment is for you. This corrective treatment helps you to achieve your desired position for up to 6  weeks.

What is brow lamination?

Brow lamination is a two-step eyebrow perming treatment that involves correcting the brow shape by setting the hairs in place using a chemical solution. In the first step, a cream is applied that breaks down bonds in the eyebrow hairs so they can be manipulated into a new position. In the second step, another cream is applied to rebuild these bonds and set the brows in their new uniform position.

If you have unruly, flat or downward growing hairs, eyebrow lamination can change the direction of growth to create a more uniform look with a higher arch and a more desirable brow shape. Brow lamination lasts 4 to 6 weeks generally, with proper care allowing the brow treatment to last as long as 8 weeks.

If this new on-trend & in-demand technique isn’t enough, eyebrow lamination forms just part of our full BrowSculpt treatment.

Our corrective eyebrow treatment realigns your brow hairs into your desired position, making them much easier to manipulate. It can also help to achieve instantly fuller looking eyebrows using your existing hair. Whether you want to correct your shape, lift the hairs, or both of these options, here are the benefits of our bespoke take on the brow lamination treatment.

What are Ombré Brows?

The Ombre Brow (otherwise known as micropigmentation) is one of the most popular beauty treatments available in the UK today. It is a procedure that produces filled-in, shaded brows with a slight ombre effect.

Achieving the Ombre Brow involves injecting lots of little dots into the skin that gradually build up to create natural-looking results, in line with traditional tattooing. The Ombre Brow is achieved using a machine operated by a trained technician and starts lighter at the arch of the brow before slowly getting darker towards the tail. The effect: a bold, fluffy, and fuller finish that compliments the natural shape and colour of the brow.

The Ombre Brow will heal to reveal very natural results that last up to three years.

What is the difference between Ombre Brows and Microblading?

Semi-permanent eyebrows are usually achieved through two different techniques: microblading and micropigmentation. Whilst both involves injecting coloured pigment into the skin for long-lasting results, they yield very different results. Below we have listed the similarities and differences between the two treatments.

Similarities:

  • Both are semi-permanent eyebrow styling techniques. This means that the time spent plucking, waxing, and threading the area is significantly reduced.
  • With both micropigmentation and microblading, clients can enjoy picture-perfect brows from the moment they wake up until the moment they go to sleep.
  • Ombre and microbladed brows do not wash off or smudge but they do fade over time.

Differences:

  • The main differences between micropigmentation and microblading is the method used and results achieved.
  • The microblading method is carried out by manually creating incisions in the skin using a hand-held tool. The hair-like incisions are then filled in with coloured pigment to resemble actual strands of hair.
  • The Ombre Brow, in contrast, is achieved by inserting lots of little dots into the skin that gradually build up to create a soft, misty effect.
  • Microblading is designed to fill in sparse areas and create a more natural look. Ombre Brows, in contrast, give the impression of wearing makeup to create a more dramatic look.
  • The Ombre Brow technique is less invasive and less damaging to the skin as it does not repeatedly break the skin like microblading.
  • The average lifespan of microbladed brows is 18 months. Ombre Brows can last up to three years in comparison, or longer with regular top-ups.

How to prepare for an Ombre Brow procedure.

Before deciding to undergo an Ombre Brow procedure, it is important to do lots of research and choose the best technician for you. When you have found the perfect artist to perform the treatment, there are few guidelines to follow to ensure it is as effective as possible. These include:

  • Avoiding alcohol or caffeine for at least 24 hours pre-procedure.
  • Avoiding blood thinners for one week pre-procedure. This includes Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, B6, Gingko Biloba and Primrose oil.
  • Avoiding waxing, tinting, or tanning the area for at least three days pre-procedure.
  • Avoiding any facials or peels for at least two weeks pre-procedure.
  • Avoiding any facial injections for at least four weeks pre-procedure.

Ombre Brow aftercare.

To ensure your eyebrows look as flawless as possible, it is important to follow a few aftercare rules.

  • Moisturise the area approximately three times a day to kickstart the healing process. Your practitioner should provide you with a special cream, but our pick is Hydragel from Buff Browz. Made using aloe vera, it is the best gel for hydrating and repairing the skin.
  • Avoid using any strong solutions on the skin as this could encourage the ink to fade prematurely.
  • Do not scratch, rub, or pick the healing skin. Allow it to flake and fall off on its own accord.

How long does it take for Ombre Brows to heal?

Ombre Brows will take approximately one month to heal fully. However, it is important to note that the healing process is different for everyone and depends on several factors including:

  • Types of medication.
  • Skin characteristics. For example, oily, sun-damaged, or thinner skin may take longer to heal.
  • Alcohol intake.
  • Post-procedure aftercare.

How often do I need to top-up my Ombre Brows?

The initial top-up procedure should take place approximately 6-8 weeks post-procedure once the pigment has settled into the skin.

During the first top-up, the technician can fill in any sparse areas with additional pigment to ensure the overall shape and style looks as good as possible.

After the first top-up, it is a good to idea to return to your practitioner every six months or so to ensure the most effective results.

How long do Ombre Brows last?

As with every tattoo procedure, the longevity of results relies on several factors. These include:

  • Skin type.
  • Sun exposure.
  • Aftercare
  • Beauty treatments such as facials or peels.
  • The quality of pigment used.
  • The overall health of the client’s skin.

Taking all the above into consideration, Ombre Brows can last anywhere from one to three years.

What are the main benefits of Ombre Brows?

The Ombre Brow technique is one of the most effective ways to help your brows look flawless from morning until night. It is brilliant for creating stylish results that are both beautiful and long-lasting.

There are many benefits to getting Ombre Brows. Firstly, it is a procedure that works well with most skin types including oily skin which can be problematic for alternative cosmetic procedures. In addition, the Ombre Brow looks much more defined and dramatic than the classic microblading method which aims to create more subtle results.

What are the side effects of Ombre Brows?

The Ombre Brow procedure is fairly low-risk and, if the correct aftercare is followed, should not generate any serious side effects.

As the needle breaks the skin, there is always a small risk of infection. However, if you choose a qualified technician and the treated area is cleaned thoroughly, the likelihood of infection is close to none.

Can I get Ombre Brows removed?

It is possible to get Ombre Brows removed. However, this is often a costly process, so it is much better to spend the time and money ensuring you choose the right technician in the first place!

Laser, salt and saline, and glycolic acid removal are the most effective in reversing the effects of micropigmentation.

How much do Ombre Brows cost?

Ombre Brows can cost anywhere from £100 to £1000 depending on the technician, with £300 being about the average price you can expect to pay. Top-ups appointments usually cost around £50-£150.

Who is offering Ombre Brows? Irene (Irene Cameron Beauty & Aesthetics) & Bonny ( Bonnys Wonderland) are offering SPMU Brows. Please view their details for further information and their education levels.

Microblading is a technique of cosmetic tattooing that provides a means to partially or fully camouflage missing eyebrow hairs. It is done by using tiny needles to deposit cosmetic pigment into the second layer of the skin. The unique formation of the needles allows the artist to create the look of real voluminous eyebrows using a 1 by 1 technique. Microblading is the key in creating the fluffy brow look.

UNSUITABLE SKIN TYPES FOR MICROBLADING
  • Very oily skin and/or very large pores on your forehead. Excessively oily skin may reject the pigment or strokes may heal very powdery/ fuzzy with loss of detail. It may need frequent touch-ups. Ombre shading or a combination brow is a good replacement
  • Pencil-thin brows. We cannot be creative when microblading brows that are pencil-thin
  • Heavily sun-damaged
  • Very delicate, fragile, sensitive or problematic skin. Skin conditions like EczemaPsoriasisRosacea, heavy Melasma etc that are present on the face will affect retention and longevity of microbladed brows
  • (Please read our faqs on cosmetic brows for more reasons on why you may not be suitable for a cosmetic tattoo)

AVOID THE FOLLOWING DURING ALL 14 DAYS FOLLOWING YOUR MICROBLADING PROCEDURE:
Increased sweating
Practising sports
Swimming
Hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi
Sun tanning or salon tanning
UV/UVA Rays or chemicals are known to cause a shift in colour and premature fading
Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the face or neck
Picking, peeling or scratching of the micro-pigmented area. This avoids scarring of the area or removal of the pigment
Performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning, where there is a lot of airborne debris. This includes garage or basement cleaning
Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds
Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles
Touching of the eyebrow area except for when rinsing and applying the post-care cream with a cotton swab
Please wash your face carefully around the eyebrow without getting water on the treated area. During the shower, keep your face away from the showerhead or take a bath.
Itching and flaking may appear during the first seven days post-microblading procedure. However, experience has shown that by following these after-care instructions, these symptoms may quickly disappear.
If you have any unexpected problems with the healing of the skin following your microblading, please contact Browjam immediately, to discuss further instructions.
