HOW TO LOOK AFTER YOUR LVL LASHES IN THE FIRST 24 HOURS AFTER TREATMENT

For the first 24 hours, make sure your LVL lashes don’t get wet and avoid any steam, swimming, or washing your face with hot water. It’s vital for maintaining that beautiful lift while your lashes lock into place. Afterwards, you can dive in with confidence. Any questions? Just ask your Nouveau Lashes Artist for expert advice on how best to look after your LVL lashes.

WHAT MAKE-UP CAN I WEAR WITH LVL LASHES?

You don’t need to wear mascara with an LVL, since the treatment tints and colours your upper and lower natural lashes to make them look longer and thicker. If you still want to wear mascara to enhance your look further, make sure you don’t overload your lashes to avoid pulling the curl down. Our aftercare range is designed to work in harmony with your LVL lashes. Just ask your stylist about the aftercare product’s.

CAN I GET MY LVL LASHES WET?

After the first 24 hours you can get your lashes wet. For the first two days after your LVL lashes treatment and lower LVL treatment, you should avoid all steam, saunas and swimming. After that, you can jump in and get wet with no worries – swim, shower, bathe, whatever. And when drying yourself, remember to run a clean mascara wand through your lashes to ensure they don’t clump together.

HOW DO I REMOVE AN LVL LASH LIFT?

An LVL lash lift and lower LVL treatment can’t be removed, as they’re both semi-permanents treatment for your natural lashes. Instead, the lash lift will grow out naturally. The tint and curl can last up to 8 weeks, depending on your lash cycle. Everyone’s is different, it’s how they grow, mature and shed to get ready for new lashes.

WHAT CAN YOU NOT DO AFTER A LASH LIFT?

Here are 6 things to avoid doing to keep your LVL lashes looking their best:

  1. Don’t get your lashes wet for the first 24 hours, and avoid steam, saunas and swimming. It’s also worth avoiding the gym or heavy exercise for the first 24 hours
  2. For tinted lashes, avoid strong sunlight or UV light for the first 24 hours. If you want to top up your tint, just return to your salon after 4 weeks
  3. Try not to touch or rub your eye area, especially when washing or cleansing your face. If you have had a lower LVL treatment, your lower lashes will appear longer so take extra care when cleansing your under eyes
  4. After your treatment, avoid sleeping on your front or side, so your lashes don’t get disturbed whilst they set in place
  5. Don’t use lash curlers, they can be harsh on your natural lashes. With LVL lashes, you won’t need them anyway
  6. No oil-based make-up or remover. Our aftercare range offers some simple water-based alternatives

LASH EXTENSIONS

What Are Classic Eyelash Extensions?

Classic lash extensions are a type of eyelash extensions applied on a 1:1 ratio, which means one extension is attached to one natural lash. One extension is dipped into the adhesive and applied to one of your natural lashes, unlike strip cluster lashes, which are applied to the skin of the eyelid. Classic lash extensions are also known as individual lashes or 1 to 1 lash extensions.

Classic eyelashes are the most traditional and popular style because the results look natural, they are not heavy to the eye and, if done properly, they won’t damage your natural lashes. They come in different materials as well as length, thickness, and curl type.

How Long Does the Classic Lash Extensions Treatment Last?

The treatment usually lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. The lash tech will prepare your eyes for the treatment, and then dip each of the classic eyelash extensions in the lash adhesive individually and apply it to your natural lashes

How Do I Know When It’s Time for Classic Lashes Infill?

Lash techs usually require you to have at least 40% of lash extensions remaining in order to have an infill. The frequency of infills is individual because some people have a shorter lash growth cycle. So, expect to book a fill-in appointment 3-4 weeks after the initial treatment.

What is the Difference Between Classic Lashes and Hybrid Lashes?

Hybrid lashes mix classic lash extension and volume lash extensions. This means that individual lashes are added in some spots, while in others, fans of 2 or more volume lashes are applied. Lash artists usually use longer classic eyelash extensions to create hybrid lashes.

By combining the two techniques, with hybrid lashes you get length and fullness. Perfect for people who want a fuller lash line and a more texturized lash look.

Russian Volume Lashes are ultra fine synthetic lashes that are made from the same fibres as classic lashes. However, as they are much thinner so your lash technician is able to apply more than one to each natural lash. Russian Lashes are typically applied in a fan-like shape, which adds to the ‘volume’ look.
Express lashes are three fast-turnaround lash transformations that last from one day to two weeks, for an instant hit of bold and beautiful eyes. Whatever Express treatment you choose – strips, fillers or lashes – taking good care of them will keep them looking their best for longer.

The difference is in the procedure and longevity. Unlike the Semi Permanents, which are extended by attaching one eyelash extension to one isolated donor lash, these are individual lashes, dropped onto the lash line without isolation.
How Do I Prepare For the Lash Extension Treatment?

It is important to come with clean lashes and the area around them, so don’t wear makeup to the appointment and avoid waterproof mascara before the treatment to make sure your lashes are completely makeup-free. Also, avoid oil-based products around your eyes.

Take off your contact lenses before the appointment. It is also advisable to shower before the treatment since you shouldn’t shower afterward because this can affect the lash glue. It will take some time for it to dry completely.

AFTERCARE

Be careful in the first 24h after the treatment, because the glue is still fresh:

  • Don’t get your lashes wet in the first 24h. Avoid long showers, steam, swimming, sweating, working out.
  • Try to sleep on your back.
  • Don’t use the lash curler.
  • Don’t use oil-based products on your eyes.
How Can I Remove Lash Extensions?

You can wait until they fall out with your natural lashes.
If you want to remove them sooner for whatever reason, it is best to visit your lash tech. All of them should have a removal service and they usually charge to remove eyelash extensions. Depending on where you had your lashes done and where you get them removed. Please check with your stylist if the removal is included.

Do not remove the lashes yourself!

If you try to remove your classic lash extensions on your own, you risk damaging your natural lashes, so it is better to leave it to the professional.

Which are the Best: Classic, Volume, or Hybrid Lash Extensions?

Classic lashes are perfect for people who already have good lashes but want to add more length while keeping the natural look.

Volume lashes are for those who like a more dramatic look, while the hybrid lashes add both length and thickness, for those with thinner natural lashes or for those wanting a denser classic lashes set.
